Directions From Almeria Airport
As
you leave the airport follow signs for E15 Murcia.
Continue
for approximately 25-30 min's, then take the Exit 504
to Sorbas.
The
road is at times very steep and windy but has lovely views over
the national park (Karst en Yesos). After about 10 min's you will
pass the Cuevas de Sorbas (caves) on your left.
Soon you will reach a T junction. DON'T turn left into Sorbas
but Right.
After
approx another 10mins you will come to a cross roads. Turn LEFT
our house is about 7 min's from this point.
The
road runs through olive and almond tree fields, you will be able
to see a large Red Painted house to your left, keep going, the
villages of Cariatiz are ahead.
When
you reach the villages keep following the signs for all directions
and El Museo.
On
leaving the first village you will see a hostel/bar on your left,
continue through more almond trees and another village still following
signs for the El Museo. you are getting close
now.
When
you see the sign Los Alias the sign for Los Josefos
is shortly after it. together with the El Museo sign. Here you
MUST turn RIGHT. into the village square. There is a church and
the museum here
Leave
the square opposite the entrance and take the left fork
in the road. Follow this road and within moments you will see
the small group of houses that is LOS JOSEFOS. The road goes no
further. We are nestled under the crags. There is ample parking
to the front of the houses our house is in the middle.
